Organized by Bağcılar Municipality, the 2nd Bağcılar Book Fair opened its doors to book lovers today. Bağcılar Square hosted the 2nd Bağcılar Book Fair this year. Before the opening of the fair, a march was organized on Çarşı Caddesi with the Bağcılar Anatolian High School band. Turkish bayraklı The march ended in Bağcılar Square. The book fair was opened by Bağcılar District Governor Abdullah Uçgun, Istanbul Provincial Culture and Tourism Director Coşkun Yılmaz and Bağcılar Mayor Abdullah Özdemir.

I would especially like to thank the publishers for their great interest. 58 publishers are here at the moment. Last year, we held our first book fair in a short time, months after we took office. Especially in the earthquake zone, our municipality never neglected it, it constantly remembered those areas. While our teams are still working there, besides, we have placed this area in our fair in order not to neglect it, which is one of the most important nutrition areas of life, and we want to contribute to them.”

Thousands of books with different content ranging from world classics to personal development are exhibited in the fair area. Famous names such as Yusuf Kaplan, Nedim Şener, Erhan Afyoncu, Kemal Sayar, Pelin Çift, Hulki Cevizoğlu and Bekir Develi will come together with their readers at the event.

A platform for children was set up in the fairground in the square. He will hold workshops here for nine days. Refreshments were also provided to the little ones who attended the opening.

Gifts were also presented to the students who completed the “Young Pens Story Writing” workshop offered within the body of Bağcılar Municipality and started writing. Congratulating the students, Özdemir said that he believed each of them would become a well-known great writer in the future.
