I believe that especially after the earthquake disaster we experienced on February 6, it offers an opportunity for all fine arts students to get away from the negativity of this disaster, embrace life, and heal by producing.”

Emre Tura, a student of Marmara University Art Teaching Department, who came first in the competition, said that he thanked everyone who contributed. Tura said, “The art of opera is a rich source of inspiration for artists as it includes all fields of fine arts. The realization of such a competition is very developer in terms of creating a bridge between the arts. For me, Yevgeni Onegin's opera contains melancholy and inner drama. In my work, I aimed to convey these feelings. It is like a stage where we make sense of our existence, with good and bad returns in life.”
