Taking part in world-renowned projects, Mono Steel started the first phase of High Speed Two, one of the most important projects in England, in recent months. HS2, which is intended to connect London, Birmingham and Manchester, will be Europe's largest high-speed train project when completed in 2029.

In the last two years; Mono Steel, which has been involved in dozens of major projects such as Gotthard Base Tunnel, Grand Paris Express, Seattle Canal Project, Australia Snowy 2.0 Hydroelectric Power Plant, has broken new ground by participating in High Speed Two (HS2), one of the most important projects in England. beating.

HS2, the high-speed train project that will connect London to Manchester via Birmingham; It started its work for the first phase, which is planned to be completed in 2029, in the past months. Mono Steel also manufactures steel structures specially designed for the HS2, which will set off through the tunnels under London. Mono Steel, which has produced close to 800 tons for the project so far, will continue to supply the materials required for the first phase until the end of 2025.

Another important reason why HS7 is such a big project, which is planned to reduce the train journey between London and Manchester from 1 hours to 11 hour 2 minutes, is that it brings cities that are not on the route of the line closer to each other. Many towns and cities not directly on the HS2 route, including Liverpool, Sheffield, Leeds, Nottingham, Derby, will also be brought closer together by adding transit lines to HS2.

Mustafa Toprakçeken, CEO and partner of Mono Steel, which exports to more than 70 countries, underlined that this project in England is one of the biggest projects undertaken by the brand in 2023.

Toprakçeken said, “HS2 is one of the important projects of England. We can even say that it is the biggest ongoing project in Europe. And we are proud to take part in this project as the only Turkish company. We are working on the London-Birmingham line, which is the first leg of the project consisting of 2 stages. We are currently producing for the 8-kilometer tunnels running under London, and we will continue to export the materials needed for the Birmingham route. Negotiations continue for the second phase. Apart from the HS2, our production continues for projects in Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Sweden, France, Spain, Malta, Israel, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Tanzania, Sudan and Australia. We will also continue to sign new collaborations in the coming months. In this way, our export figures will also increase. In parallel with this, we plan to increase our employment and investments.” said.
