Hisar Schools is organizing the 'Hisar Coding Summit' for the 20th time on May 21-9. Hisar Schools continues to bring together students from all over Turkey with educational activities in line with its “Open Source” approach. Hisar Coding Summit, which emerged with the idea of revealing, developing and sharing the potential of students in the field of software, one of the most important professions of the future, and will be held for the 9th time this year, will be held at Hisar Schools on May 20 - 21, 2023 with the theme of "Discover Beyond Algorithms".
Within the scope of the workshops to be held by the students of Hisar Schools, there will be many different topics such as computational thinking, programming, quantum computing, cyber security, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Design-oriented thinking and entrepreneurship workshops will also be held in the training.
Transfer of knowledge and experience from students to students
The most important feature of the trainings; It is given by the students of Hisar Schools under the leadership of their teachers in order to strengthen peer solidarity and the sense of responsibility of the students. At the summit, this year leading experts from Turkey and the world will also meet with students and share their experiences with them. Students will also have the chance to participate in the annual game design competition GameJam and the cyber security competition HisarCTF, in addition to the experiences they have gained from the trainings.
With the rapid change in software, technology and lifestyles, which is one of the most important professions that shape the future, the door of innovation is also opening in the software industry. Due to reasons such as consumption habits, changes in needs, the need for new and change, and efforts to reduce manpower, the software industry shows its effect in many areas from food to health. Today, coding skill is considered as a '21st century skill' due to its relationship with computational thinking skills. For this reason, coding education is seen as a necessity to gain the skills expected of 21st century individuals. Being aware of the need to train young people who are competent in the field of software, Hisar Schools has been bringing high school students together with the "Hisar Coding Summit" event for 9 years in line with this purpose.

The program of the event, which will be held as a hybrid on 20-21 May 2023, will include rich content, speeches by experts in their fields, and project presentations. As part of the event program, both Turkish and English sessions will be held. Hisar Schools students invite their peers to join them by registering free of charge on the Hisar Coding Summit website with the motto of “coding education open to all from students”.
