According to information from the China Manned Space Engineering Office (CMESO), around 8 a.m. today, the Shenzhou-15 crew opened the door of the Tianzhou-6 cargo spacecraft to initiate cargo transfer and other related operations as planned.

The Tianzhou-6 cargo spacecraft carried more than 16 tons of payload needed in the space station and in hands-on experiments such as in-orbit consumables, propellants for the 17 taikonauts in Shenzhou-6 and Shenzhou-7.

The cell uplink life support unit was installed 6 hours before launch on the Tianzhou-5 cargo spacecraft. Because these devices are very sensitive to guard time and environmental temperature, the crew first moved these devices to the biotechnology experiment cabinet in the Wentian capsule after opening the Tianzhou-6 door.

Besides, the consumables carried by Tianzhou-6 have a richer variety. In addition to clothing, food and drinking water, approximately 70 kilograms of fruit are also included in the cargo. These fruits will also meet the food needs of the existing Shenzhou-15 crew on the Chinese space station and the Shenzhou-16 crew that are about to enter the space station.
