The enthusiasm of the youth peaked when the Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank increased the first prize from 10 thousand TL to 20 thousand TL in the finals of the e-sports tournament organized by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality. Minister Varank, who played valorant in the exhibition match with Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş, shared the enthusiasm of the young people.
The Inter-High School E-Sports Tournament attracted the greatest attention in the events organized by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality within the scope of 19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. A total of 630 athletes from 3150 teams participated in the event, which is the most comprehensive e-sports tournament in Turkey. After the eliminations held in Bursa e-Sports Center between May 8-12, 8 teams that made it to the finals faced each other at Atatürk Congress and Culture Center Hüdavendigar Hall.
Awards doubled
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş, Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank and AK Party Provincial President Davut Gürkan also came to the hall and shared the final excitement of the youth. Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank, who took the microphone before the start of the matches, said, “I would like to thank our president for organizing such an event on 19 May, on the feast of the youth. However, our president has been a little stingy, let's increase these rewards a little. We are making the first prize of 10 thousand liras for 20 thousand, good luck. Accordingly, the fourth place prize of 2 thousand 500 TL is 5 thousand, the third prize is 5 thousand with 10 thousand, and the second prize with 7 thousand 500 TL is 15 thousand TL. President, we've increased the rewards a bit, but it won't hurt you. As the Minister of Industry and Technology, I have a gift for you. I love young people very much. I give them technological gifts. I'm giving away 10 GB of internet to all our young people here. Let the young people use it. I wish you all success,” he said.
We celebrate the holiday with enthusiasm
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş said that on the 104th anniversary of Atatürk's arrival in Samsun, they celebrated the holiday, which was the gift of Atatürk to the youth, when the torch of liberation was lit. Reminding that they have organized various events spread over a week special to today, President Aktaş said, “We are at the e-sports tournament now. Modern dance competitions, street basketball tournaments were held. We have a rally tonight. I sincerely congratulate all our youth on the holiday," he said.
