The renovation work carried out by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality at the Bülent Ecevit Cultural Center in Karaalioğlu Park has been completed. The renovated Cultural Center first hosted the Aksu Village Institute Painting Exhibition, which was held to commemorate the 83rd anniversary of the Village Institutes.

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality has completed its renovation works at Bülent Ecevit Cultural Center in Karaalioğlu Park, which has an important place in the city's memory and has been idle for a long time. The Cultural Center gained a more modern and stylish appearance with the renovations, technical infrastructure and landscaping works carried out in and around it.

Exhibition in Memory of Village Institutes

The renewed Bülent Ecevit Cultural Center hosted its first event. 'Aksu Village Institute' Painting Exhibition and 'From Village Institutes to Urban Institutes' conference were held in cooperation with Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and New Generation Village Institutes Association to commemorate the 83rd anniversary of the Village Institutes. The exhibition shows the students and teachers of Aksu Village Institute, which was founded in 1940.

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Department of Urban History and Promotion İsmail Oskay, noting that the Bülent Ecevit Cultural Center, whose work has been completed, has been re-opened with a meaningful event, said, “The Bülent Ecevit Cultural Center, which was left idle in the previous period, Muhittin Böcek It has been renewed by the order of our President. The center will be able to host many events and programs from now on. We wanted the first event of the Bülent Ecevit Cultural Center to be opened with such a meaningful event.”

Wedding Hall, Art Gallery and Social Areas

The wedding hall, which has an unforgettable place in the memories of the people of Antalya, was also renewed at the Bülent Ecevit Cultural Center. In the wedding hall, which will continue to host special occasions again, congresses and workshops can also be held. There will also be an art gallery named after one of Turkey's most important artists, painter, journalist-writer Fikret Otyam, at the Cultural Center.

Green Areas Increased by 40 Percent

In the renovation project, landscaping around the cultural center was emphasized.

Existing green areas were increased by 40 percent by the teams of the Parks and Gardens Department. Within the scope of the project, renovation work was also carried out in the viewing terrace section of the Bülent Ecevit Cultural Center with Beydağları and Mediterranean views. Social areas where citizens can have tea and coffee accompanied by the unique Mediterranean view before and after the wedding have been made more modern.
