SunExpress Continues to Connect İzmir to Abroad with 8 New Routes

SunExpress, a joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, continues to connect Izmir to domestic and international destinations with direct flights, with new routes added to its flight network and increased capacity. The airline, which has added a total of 8 routes, 26 of which is from İzmir, to its flight network this summer, reaches the widest flight network on the İzmir route.

SunExpress CEO Max Kownatzki said, “As SunExpress, we offer services with our largest flight network ever between Turkey and Europe. In this context, we have reached the widest flight network in Izmir with the new routes we offer from Izmir. We are the airline that connects İzmir to the most destinations on both domestic and international routes with more than 50 destinations in total.”

SunExpress operates direct flights from Izmir to a total of 37 international destinations. This summer, Dubai, Birmingham, Saarbrücken, Tbilisi and Edinburgh, as well as London-Gatwick, Venice and Barcelona have been added to the new international routes on the Izmir route.

Domestically, it flies from Izmir to 15 cities in Turkey, namely Adana, Antalya, Bodrum, Diyarbakir, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kars, Kayseri, Konya, Malatya, Samsun, Trabzon, Van and Mardin.
