Six virtual reality games were developed within the scope of the “MEB VR 3D Game Project” initiated by the Ministry of National Education, General Directorate of Innovation and Educational Technologies.

The Ministry of National Education VR project was initiated by the Ministry of National Education in order to prepare for the metaverse age and to support infrastructure works on this subject.

Within the scope of the project work, the MEB VR Open World environment was developed, and a total of six different games were prepared, five of which were matched with mathematics achievements and one was an activity. MEB VR 3D Games were designed as a pilot to allow the player to travel as much as they want on the open map and participate in different math games.

With the project, the technical skills of the relevant teams of the YEĞİTEK General Directorate were increased with in-service trainings, and VR 3D game development capacity was created. All of the scenario, design, graphics and software elements of the games were carried out by the General Directorate of YEĞİTEK.

Virtual reality glasses were used as technical equipment in the games, which were scripted for the different acquisitions of the secondary school 7th grade mathematics course in the curriculum. Over 500 3D modeled objects were produced with the project.

"Number line-door game" that makes addition and subtraction operations in integers, "cube game" that draws two-dimensional views of three-dimensional objects from different sides, "scales game" that applies the principle of conservation of equality, "pizza game" that solves problems about straight proportion, rational numbers The “greenhouse game” that allows multiplication and division operations, and the “arrow shooting game” designed to transform the MEB VR Open World into an enjoyable navigation area for players were prepared.

On the other hand, the "Introduction to Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality Applications Training" course was offered to teachers through the IPA, in order to implement and disseminate such different projects and to prepare teachers for the metaverse age.

Test and pilot studies of the games in schools will be planned and the development processes will be continued, and the development of new games in different disciplines will be started.
