Konya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department continues to be a model with its knowledge and experience in the international arena in cooperation with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency. In this context, Konya Metropolitan Fire Department, which continues its firefighter training in different countries, gave training to firefighters coming from North Macedonia to Konya within the scope of the Emergency and Disaster Response Training Program.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade Department, which is a model with its knowledge and experience in the national and international arena, gave training to the personnel of the Skopje Fire Department of North Macedonia, within the scope of the "Emergency and Disaster Response Training Program" (ADAMEP), in Konya.

Uğur Tanyeli, Head of TIKA Foreign Relations and Partnerships Department, stated that they shared Turkey's experiences in many fields with friendly and brotherly countries through various projects, and said, “Within the scope of the Emergency and Disaster Response Training Program, the fire department of our Konya Metropolitan Municipality provided basic firefighting training in 6 countries so far. Advanced firefighting trainings were also organized for the country. To date, we have provided training to 4 firefighters together with our Konya Metropolitan Municipality. The recent earthquake in our country, which affected a large region, has brought to light the importance of search and rescue activities, firefighting training and other disaster-related trainings.

In the trainings held at the Konya Fire Brigade Training Center; theoretical and practical trainings were given on fire response, search and rescue, traffic accident response, first aid and occupational safety, and an exercise was held under the supervision of expert trainers. Later, certificates were distributed to the personnel who completed their training.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade, which has become a brand by continuing its training in the international arena, has so far been in cooperation with TIKA; He also gave basic and advanced firefighting training to the fire departments of Uzbekistan, Montenegro, Tajikistan, Libya, Gambia, Palestine, Georgia and Somalia.
