Children in Yeni Foça were given free information about photography. In the touristic district of Izmir, Foça, with the help of Foça Film Platform volunteers, children took pictures with a DSLR camera for the first time.
Within the scope of the event organized with the support of Foça Municipality, free information was given about photography for children in Yeniköy on March 8, Yeni Bağarası on March 25 and Yeni Foça on April 8.
A Photography Workshop was held with children at the weekend event in Yeni Foça. Foça Film Days The Best of 2022 film screenings were watched.
The event, which took place at the Foça Municipality Social Facilities, was held in the festive atmosphere in October 2022. Among the 5 films screened at the Foça International Archeology and Cultural Heritage Documentary Film Days, the most liked films were watched by the participants.
Families and children attending the event received information about documentary films and photography.
The 6th International Film Festival will take place from 4 to 8 October 2023.
Before October, Foça Film Platform volunteers are scheduled to implement various free public activities as usual.
Participating in the event, Munis Dusenkalkar said, “I migrated from Istanbul to Foça. I have been living in Foça for 2,5 years. When you come here from a place like Istanbul, which has a lot of social activities and is very active with its artistic framework, one falls into hunger. Here I saw the efforts of the Foça Film Platform. It was in Yeniköy before, I got there at the last moment. I was very impressed by the fact that it is a platform in the form of a movie series that tells us where Turkey came from and where it came from with documentaries.” used his statements.
Belgin Herişçakar, a volunteer team member of the Foça Film platform, said, “Today we were in Yenifoça as a platform, we made our screenings with the theme of selections from 2022. We held events in Yeniköy, Bağarası and Yenifoça at locations outside the Foça district center. We saw that our people welcomed it with interest, we hope that the interest will continue and we will be in the regions of Foça.” he said.
