The Ministry of Commerce reported that 24 kilograms of ecstasy was seized in an operation against a truck that came to the Kapıkule Customs Gate to enter Turkey.

According to the statement made by the Ministry, a truck was considered suspicious and followed up within the scope of risk analysis and targeting activities carried out by the teams. The vehicle, which set off from Germany, arrived at Kapıkule Customs Gate via Bulgaria to enter Turkey. After the passport and customs registration procedures, a search was started by the Customs Enforcement teams, accompanied by a narcotic detector dog. During the search, it was seen that the detector dog reacted to the suitcase on the driver's bed.

It was seen that there were colored pills in transparent bags in the suitcase, which was searched by the Customs Enforcement teams. As a result of the analysis of the samples taken from the pills, it was understood that the pills were ecstasy, and a total of 24 kilograms of ecstasy was seized.

An investigation was launched before the Edirne Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident.
