Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) continues its city tours to the surrounding districts. City tours organized free of charge by the ABB Department of Culture and Social Affairs to the surrounding districts of Ankara will start again with the arrival of spring and the better weather.

In 2022, 26 thousand Ankara residents participated in the City Trips organized to Nallıhan, Bala, Kalecik, Kahramankazan, Beypazarı, Polatlı, Çubuk, Ayaş, Çamlıdere, Şereflikoçhisar, Kızılcahamam, Haymana, Evren, Güdül and Elmadağ districts.

Citizens, who also visit local markets within the scope of the touristic trip, where local and foreign tourists have the opportunity to socialize, also tour historical and cultural areas and recreation areas with the buses allocated. Başkent residents who want to participate in the trips can make their individual applications through the Başkent 153 call center, and their group applications at the ABB Service Building with a petition.

“We are planning district trips with the spring season”

Head of Culture and Social Affairs Department Ali Bozkurt noted that nearly 2022 trips were organized to the center and districts of the Capital in 600 by the Tourism Branch Directorate and said, “About 26 thousand Ankara residents participated in these trips and we received positive feedback from all of them. The people of Ankara also show a lot of interest in our trips. In accordance with the demand, we are planning to organize trips to the districts with the spring season," he said.

Reminding that earthquake victims take them on trips in Ankara and its districts to alleviate their trauma, Bozkurt said, “The biggest demand is for Anıtkabir trips. There is a high demand for Ankara Castle and museums," he said.
