“Here, we are working on converting our mains water line, which has existed since ancient times, into a parking area. We have 25 thousand square meters of green space within an area of approximately 17 thousand square meters. There will be seating groups, a decorative children's playground and gazebos in the park. We will have 2 bridges in the park in order to combine the 2 parcels and to pass the citizens over the stream and include them in the area. One of them is the old bridge here, and the other is our new wooden bridge. In addition to these, there will be our orchard with 5 types of fruit trees behind our park. Approximately 600 trees and 5 thousand bushes will be planted in the area. In addition, we will position an entrance jewel symbolizing the underground catchment at our main entrance, where there is a parking lot for 40 vehicles.

FROM 1920s to 2020s

Located in the Kusunlar District of the Mamak district and having an older history than the Çubuk-1 Dam, the 'Kusunlar Underground Catchment' is a facility created to meet the water needs of the rapidly increasing population after Ankara became the Capital. The catchment, the construction of which began in 1926, was completed in 1931 and still maintains its functionality today.

With the 'Kusunlar Memorial Park' built on the catchment of historical value, ABB will both introduce the facility to the people of the Capital and the region will gain a brand new green area.
