Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality started to work on the construction of junctions and connection roads under the D-95 in Körfez Kaşkaldere (100 Houses). Kaşkaldere Junction, on the border of Körfez and Derince districts, will have a completely different appearance when the project, which will put a scalpel on traffic congestion, is completed.
Scalpel to traffic
Within the scope of Kaşkaldere (95 Evler) D-100 Six Junctions and Connection Roads Project, a new 2×2 thousand meter long roundabout at the intersection of Yaşar Doğu and Elveda Caddesi, which follows the route of Bayır and Rüzgarlı Street, from Burcu Street on İstiklal Street to the west of Kaşkaldere Recreation Area. The road will be built. The existing culvert under the Kaşkaldere Junction will be expanded and a new 326-meter culvert will be built. At Kaşkaldere Junction, on the border of Körfez and Derince districts, a diamond intersection will be built with vehicle intersections to reduce signal phase and ensure traffic safety. Bored pile manufacturing and platform arrangement works are carried out in the region.
ADDITIONAL BRIDGE
An additional bridge and underpass will be arranged for the arrangement of entrances and exits in the section from the front of the old Police Department building to the Kaşkaldere underpass. An additional bridge with a length of 100 meters and a width of 40 meters with two spans, which will be raised to the same height as the D-8.50, will connect to the roundabout from the direction of Izmit-Istanbul. With the arrangement to be made in the underpass under the D-100, it will be possible to go to Körfez Kent and Kaşkaldere.
