Antalya Metropolitan Municipality supports the shopkeepers of Gaziantep who were damaged by the earthquake. The local products of the artisans from Gaziantep are brought together with the people of Antalya with the 'Gaziantep People Solidarity Days' event held at the Glass Pyramid Fair and Congress Center, King's Road.
Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and Antalya Gaziantep Cultural Association organize the "Gaziantep People's Solidarity Days" event in order to heal the wounds of the tradesmen who were damaged in the earthquake. Local products of the Gaziantep region will be introduced to the citizens of Antalya with the event to be held at Cam Piramit Fair and Congress Center Royal Road between 7-16 April. Tradesmen from Gaziantep are trying to heal the wounds of the earthquake by opening their stands.
It will be the lifeblood of tradesmen
Sedat Akbayram, one of the tradesmen from Gaziantep İslahiye, said, “May Allah not let anyone experience such an earthquake disaster. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality took care of us, the tradesmen, with such promotional days. Our shops and homes were damaged. This event will be a lifeline for us. The people of Antalya will host us in the best way possible," he said.
Tradesman Hanife Kaya said that their workplaces were damaged in the earthquake and that they were trying to hold on to life again by promoting their local products to the people of Antalya.
Shopkeepers Trying to Hold on to Life
Saying that we came to Antalya to promote Gaziantep, Dilek Üresin said, “We are having a hard time. We are here to bring together the local products of Gaziantep with the people of Antalya. We had losses in the earthquake. We are opening a shop for the first time on such a promotional day after the earthquake. It will be good for us, our masters and our employees. We are trying to get on with life again,” he said.
Sema Altoğlu, who was shopping from the tradesmen within the scope of the "Gaziantep Solidarity Days" events, said that she was shopping to support the tradesmen who were affected by the earthquake.
Gaziantep Tastes in Antalya
The local flavors of Gaziantep, which is under protection by UNESCO, will meet the citizens of Antalya between 7-16 April. Gaziantep's delicious products will be introduced to the people of Antalya for 10 days and will be a lifeline for the tradesmen who were damaged by the earthquake. Earthquake-affected tradesmen will be able to sell their products with this event. At the same time, food support will be provided to the earthquake zone with the income obtained.
