Retirement Rights in Turkey for Expatriates Working in Europe
Expatriates Working in Europe, Retirement Rights on the Way in Turkey

Social Security Expert Erhan Nacar said that with the new regulation, which is still in progress, expatriates working full-time in Europe can now receive their pensions from Turkey.

Social Security Specialist Erhan Nacar stated that the studies on this regulation are continuing. Nacar said, “European Turks could not get a pension from Turkey while they were working in Europe. In the current system, employees under 520 Euros can come to Turkey and receive their pensions. Both President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and CHP leader Kılıçdaroğlu said that due to the intense pressure of European Turks, especially by NGOs in Europe, they will open the way for everyone who works full-time, not less than 520 Euros but above 520 Euros, to come and receive a pension in their election manifestos. Therefore, European Turks are looking forward to it. After the election, European Turks will say 'hello' to full-time employment. This law is currently under preparation. European Turks, who are now working full-time in Europe, will be able to both work full-time in Europe and receive their pensions from Turkey, with this law to be enacted in Turkey very soon. It was actually a bleeding wound that had been said for years. Now, studies have been started so that full-time employees in Europe can also receive pensions from Turkey.”

Pension for women who have been married for 25 years

Nacar said that there are also studies on granting the right to retirement to women who have been married for 25 years and said, “President Erdogan has given place to those who have been married for 25 years that the right to retirement will come at the age of 45, 46, 47, 48, 49. The Nation Alliance also said in its statements. What does this mean; In Europe or Turkey, whether a housewife works or not, they can get into debt at 1, 2, 3, 4 births. Those who have been married for 25 years will have early retirement status at the age of 45. They can obtain the day gaps by making a 4 child birth debt. They will also enter early retirement at the age of 25 if they have been married for 45 years. Rumors about it started. There is research on this in the parliamentary commission. It has not been enacted yet. In order to benefit from these rights, if there are those who do not operate child births, let them do so. Let the housewives prepare their residences regarding their terms in advance. When this law comes out, they will make their applications and they will be candidates for the right to retire.”

'Full package is being prepared for European Turks'

Noting that European citizens with a 'blue card' will also be able to benefit from the new pension reform, Nacar said, “In 1999, late Necmettin Erbakan Hodja, late Turgut Özal and late Bülent Ecevit said to those who went to Europe, 'Get European citizenship'. In every seminar in Europe, they said, 'Become citizens of European countries, represent us in the municipalities there and in the parliament there'. It was said, 'We will give an identity card'; it was called the 'pink card'. In 1999, the pink card became a blue card and was registered. In the past, blue card holders could not enter SGK and have a cup of tea. With the arrangements made now, they can't just vote. They even have pension rights; but they can borrow for the time they stay in Turkish citizenship. They cannot borrow money for the time they stay on the blue card. There is work for him. Since it is now said to be 'contrary to the principle of equality', there are studies in the commission regarding this. A full package is being prepared for European Turks. For this reason, European Turks have their eyes and ears on the parliament," he said.
