China's Logistics Sector Rebounds in March

According to the data released today by the China Logistics and Purchasing Federation, a strong rebound trend was seen in the logistics industry in March, with the implementation of policies that stabilize demand and increase consumption in various regions.

The China Logistics Performance Index reached 5,4 percent in March, up 55,5 points from February. Thus, the rate of increase in the index exceeded 5 points for two consecutive months.

Liu Yuhang, Head of the China Logistics Information Center, noted that the functioning of the logistics industry continues positively, the recovery of the business volume accelerated, and the performance level of the industry increased steadily.

Liu emphasized that in addition to the increasing demands of the logistics industry in various fields, the activities of logistics enterprises gained dynamism.

The New Order Index, which reflects the market demand of the logistics sector, increased by 4,4 points compared to the previous month and became 53,7 percent in March.

Logistics sector activities expectation index increased by 0,5 points compared to the previous month and reached 58,1 percent in March. This index rose four months in a row on a monthly basis.
