Technopark Istanbul Launched Helpcube Program for Disaster Projects

Technopark Istanbul, which started the Helpcube Acceleration Program for entrepreneurs with projects for disasters and emergencies under the leadership of the Incubation Center Cube Incubation, is establishing a container city for 3 people in the earthquake zone under the coordination of the Presidency of Defense Industry of the Republic of Turkey.

Teknopark Istanbul, which started a preventive technology program called Helpcube for disasters and emergencies after the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, mobilized for earthquake victims together with defense industry companies. With the support of Turkish defense companies, which carry out R&D studies within Teknopark Istanbul and play an active role in rescuing hundreds of people with sensors and UAVs sent to the disaster area, a container city of 3 people is being established in the earthquake region.

After the earthquakes affecting 11 provinces, employees of Technopark Istanbul and Turkish defense companies flocked to the region and participated in search and rescue efforts. Employees who support the authorities with behind-the-wall radar, stick camera, thermal camera, underground imaging and analysis device, sub-dent imaging devices, solar-powered cameras and about 2 generators are still continuing their aid activities in the region.

A container city with a capacity of 3 people is being established

Head of Defense Industry Prof. Dr. After İsmail Demir's statement that they will provide accommodation and employment opportunities to earthquake victims, Teknopark Istanbul accelerated the container city activities in the region. 3 thousand 600 people will be accommodated in the container city to be established in Kahramanmaraş Organized Industrial Zone under the coordination of the Presidency of Defense Industry Presidency. Each container in the living area to be located in the EXPO area will cost 120 thousand liras.

Teknopark Istanbul General Manager Bilal Topçu, who said that they were mobilized from the first moment to heal the wounds in the earthquake area and to return life to its normal flow as soon as possible, said: We are with you and at your service. In the first stage, we shipped the materials needed in the disaster area to the regions with two aid trucks. We are making every effort to meet the priority needs in the difficult process we are in.”

Helpcube program was launched for disaster projects

Under the leadership of Cube Incubation, the Incubation Center, which stands out with its experience in the deep technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem, Teknopark Istanbul launched the Helpcube preventive technologies program for disasters and emergencies with the participation of important solution partners and partners. With Helpcube, which is designed for our country to be technologically prepared for disasters, support will be provided for the growth of initiatives with projects containing supportive services or products during and after the disaster, as well as preventive technologies for emergencies and disasters.
