Rainwater Separation Line Works Continue in Karabağlar

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality İZSU General Directorate continues to work on the rain water separation line in Karabağlar, one of the important districts of the city center. İZSU teams approached the end of the 7-kilometer study.

İZSU General Directorate continues its efforts to strengthen the infrastructure in areas where floods and floods may occur in heavy rains. In this context, İZSU teams accelerated the rain water line works in Karabağlar district.

The rain water problem of 5 neighborhoods is solved

The 7-kilometer-long separation line covers Kibar, Barış, Günaltay, Selvili and Ali Fuat Cebesoy neighborhoods. The lines in the form of a combined system on the streets and streets that have problems in precipitation are separated and separate rain water and grid lines are made. With the completion of the work, which is in the final stage, floods caused by rain water are prevented.

Floods prevented in streams

Problems in Çamlık and Çitlembik Streams, which overflowed in sudden and heavy rains and caused flooding in the district, were also resolved. With the extensive work done, the bridge passing under Yeşillik Caddesi on Çamlık Stream was widened. The carrier pipeline passing under the bridge was also expanded. Due to the narrow cross-section of the culvert, which is located on the Çamlık Stream and provides 5772 street crossings, the culvert at the point where there is a flood problem on heavy rainy days was removed and a wide and suitable cross-section culvert was built. In addition, measures were taken against possible floods by raising the stream walls in necessary parts. A rain water grid was built at the 5773 street entrance, and the water flowed into the stream without any problems with the rain water line. The works have eliminated the regional flooding problem in Karabağlar, which is experienced in heavy rains and negatively affects life.
