Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, which continues its search and rescue activities in the disaster area and supporting social life without interruption, sent 56 containers where the athletes were accommodated at the World Nomad Games in Iznik.

Immediately after the earthquakes that stifled Turkey, the Metropolitan Municipality, which started a great mobilization in Bursa, continues its efforts to heal the wounds of the earthquake. In addition to search and rescue activities, the Metropolitan Municipality stepped in for the improvement of drinking water lines, maintenance of damaged roads and debris removal, as well as solving the accommodation problem in the region. Containers in Iznik district were sent to Kahramanmaraş for the accommodation of earthquake victims, upon the instruction of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş, who has been working in the field in Gaziantep's İslahiye and Nurdağı districts since the first day of the earthquake.

The containers, which hosted over 4 thousand athletes from 13 countries in 102 branches for 3 days in Iznik District this year by the World Nomad Games Committee, will turn into a warm home for earthquake victims, albeit temporarily. 6 containers, each with 3 beds and 56 cabinets, were loaded onto trucks with cranes and brought to the end of the year.

The mobilizations started right after the earthquake and the works of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, which sent all relevant units to the region in line with the needs, continue uninterruptedly. The Metropolitan Municipality is still working hard in the region with 622 personnel, 102 heavy equipment, 76 vehicles and 22 search and rescue vehicles. BUSKI's work in Kahramanmaraş with 2 water tankers, 2 vacuum trucks, 10 breakdown maintenance and repair teams and 10 engineers assigned for damage assessment has made significant progress. BUSKİ, which gives priority to the supply of healthy drinking water, is renewing the drinking water lines damaged in the earthquake one by one.

While transportation, which was disrupted due to the roads damaged in the earthquake, emerged as an important problem, the teams of the Transportation Department continue their work on the roads day and night. The teams, which mainly direct them to the Nurdağı district of Gaziantep, complete the works on the Balıkalan Mahallesi connection road, while also supporting the debris removal works with construction equipment.

Meanwhile, Bursa Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş, who was assigned to Gaziantep for coordination with Bursa Governor Yakup Canbolat, was assigned to Hatay by the Ministry of Interior after his work in İslahiye and Nurdağı districts. President Aktaş, who put forward a successful performance with both the healthy delivery of aids day and night in İslahiye and Nurdağı, as well as his efforts to support search and rescue and social life, departed for Hatay at night.

We will also contribute to the work there. I trust the philanthropists of Bursa and my employees. The Republic of Turkey is a strong state. The state and nation with their ministers, institutions, military, police, municipalities, NGOs, we will hold hands and heal wounds.
