The first shipment of 105 mm air-transportable light towed howitzer BORAN, designed and developed to support TAF's internal security and air operations, is being delivered.
Designed and developed by MKE engineers in line with the demands of the TAF, BORAN has successfully passed 24 tests in international standards.
Developed to strengthen the hand of the TAF in operations conducted in difficult terrain conditions, BORAN can be transported by air and land, with a weight of 1780 kilograms, and can be transported to the desired terrain in a short time and can be ready to fire in 1 minute.
BORAN, which has a Fire Control System and 360-degree shooting capability day and night, can operate in weather conditions ranging from minus 32 to plus 44 degrees. BORAN, which has an effective range of 17 kilometers, can fire 6 shots per minute.
BORAN, which is in a few countries in the world, will now be one of the important weapon systems in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces.
