Taking action to make budget-friendly products easily accessible, Halk Ekmek Fabrikası started the e-commerce era with the slogan of "Safe Shopping Address".
Fresh, hygienic and local products sold in Başkent Markets and sales stores are offered for sale online at “baskentmarket.com.tr”, while orders can be placed from anywhere in Turkey by courier.
With the new application, Halk Bread Factory, which aims to support Women's Cooperatives and Local Unions, will also deliver its own products to citizens more easily. Ümit Sevdi, Deputy General Manager of Ankara Public Bread Factory, stated that they broke new ground by starting the e-commerce era at Halk Ekmek and gave the following information:
“We took the first step in online sales. We decided to switch to the e-commerce system under the assurance of our factory. We have uploaded the products produced by Halk Bread Factory and producer cooperatives to our online sales site. We aim to deliver quality local products produced by Halk Bread Factory, one of Turkey's corporate brands, both by itself and by producer cooperatives, to large masses throughout the country. Our e-commerce application will be carried out at Başkent Market GIMAT Branch. Apart from packaged products, we also gave gluten-free products. We plan to increase the number of products in the coming period by evaluating the seasonal and seasonal demands. Our people will have the opportunity to buy products produced in a healthy and hygienic environment at shelf prices.”

ABB has created a special packaging and cargo area at the Başkent Market Gimat Branch in order to deliver the packaged products produced in the factory and the local products of the cooperatives to the citizens by cargo in a faster and more reliable way.
Orders placed by citizens on the online shopping site will be carefully prepared and delivered to all corners of Turkey through the contracted cargo company. While additional protocols and contracts were signed with cooperatives for local products included in the scope of e-commerce, it was decided to make 4-5 percent discounts for products included in e-commerce with producer cooperatives.
All products offered for sale in the application, where the shipping fee will belong to the ordering citizen, will be valid over the shelf price in Başkent Markets. In order to avoid cargo-related problems in the virtual shopping system, liquid and glass products will not be sold, while cooperatives will be responsible for defective products.
