A 'Applause' Project from Contemporary Living Youth

Contemporary Life Support Association (ÇYDD) Contemporary Youth Izmir branch Youth Unit realized the project "There is a Festival in the Village" in Çamavlu village of Bergama with the partnership of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and the Village-Iz project.

Young People with Contemporary Living organized activities in a range of areas from coding to waltz dance, puppetry and creative drama for 118 children in the Çamavlu Village of Bergama. The youth, who also renovated the school and its surroundings, did not forget the villagers. Young volunteers, members of ÇYDD İzmir Branch Youth Unit, gave a series of informative seminars to those living in the village, from agriculture, law, women's health to felt and soap making. After all this tiring process, the productions were exhibited at the enthusiastic event called There is a Festival in the Village. The traces of the deep loneliness experienced during the pandemic process were erased at the festival.

The Association for Supporting Contemporary Life (ÇYDD) İzmir Branch implemented the 'There is a Festival in the Village' project with the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and the Village-İz project team.

Volunteer youth in ÇYDD İzmir Branch Youth Unit first renovated the school and other common areas in Çamavlu Village of Bergama within the scope of the project. The village school was completely renovated with children and villagers.

VALSE EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN WITHOUT CODING

Within the scope of the project, young volunteers of ÇYDD organized coding, waltz, profession promotion, painting, handicraft, puppetry and creative drama workshops for 118 children in Çamavlu Village.

VILLAGE RESIDENTS ARE NOT FORGOTTEN

Young people gave seminars on agriculture, law, women's health, oral and dental health as well as children. Volunteer youth from the ÇYDD İzmir Branch Youth Unit, who are in charge of the project, also taught felt and soap making to mostly female adults living in the village.

The closing festival was held at the end of the project, which reached a total of 895 people including the children. The works carried out throughout the project were exhibited in the village square. The children's show, who learned the waltz with the young people, was greatly appreciated. The night continued with music concerts and folk dances by young volunteers. Village residents and young people danced together.

We experienced the happiness of meeting our young people with these values, which are a necessity of Contemporary Life, and renewed our hopes. First of all, our project stakeholder İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and Köyde-İz project team, who are instrumental in experiencing these feelings, our hope for the future, our volunteer youth who have been working hard for the project for 4-5 months despite the intense exam periods, our volunteers who do not spare their material and moral support, our young people who actively participate in the project and our youth.
