Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy attended the “General Secretariat Handover Ceremony” held at the TURKSOY General Secretariat Conference Hall with Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

In his speech at the ceremony, Minister Ersoy stated that the unity and solidarity created through the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY) is very valuable and said, "The important thing is to transfer Turkish culture to our peoples, to future generations." said.

Stating that attending the ceremony with two ministers is an expression of the value they attach to TURKSOY, Ersoy said that TURKSOY, which was established to protect Turkish culture and promote it to the world, has taken very important steps towards becoming a great plane tree.

Ersoy thanked Dusen Kaseinov, who handed over his duty for his recent breakthroughs and his services during his 14-year tenure, and said, “The synergy, unity and solidarity we have created through this organization are very valuable. In the future, our cultural activities will inspire us towards greater synergies and greater works. The important thing is to transfer Turkish culture to future generations, to our peoples, in a permanent way. These are also very valuable to us.” he said.

Noting that they have done important work as Turkish communities, Ersoy said that the new Secretary General has very important duties and they believe that Sultan Raev will carry the flag further.

Ersoy said that as Turkey, they will stand by TURKSOY in every field it needs and they trust TURKSOY Secretary General Raev to raise the bar even higher.

With the handover ceremony held after the speech, Kaseinov handed over the post of General Secretary of TURKSOY to Sultan Raev.

Sultan Raev, who also served as the Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan and the Organization of Turkic States, was elected as the Secretary General of TURKSOY for the new term with the unanimous decision of the Permanent Council of TURKSOY.
