The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced that Türksat has transferred its experience of establishing an e-Government infrastructure to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). Türksat AŞ, which established the e-Government infrastructure of Turkey and Northern Cyprus and operates it on behalf of the Presidency's Digital Transformation Office, brought to life 25 public services and 13 municipal document verification services in the first place.
In the written statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, “With the e-TRNC project, of which Türksat is the main contractor, all public services are offered to the citizens electronically, in the easiest and most effective way, in a quality, fast, uninterrupted, safe and integrated structure. It is aimed to establish the infrastructure for this at the country level. The TRNC plans to end the bureaucracy, which is shown as a major problem on the island, with its e-Government infrastructure.
DOCUMENTS ARE DIGITALIZING WITH NATIONAL EBYS
The statement emphasized that the e-Government infrastructure of the TRNC, which was designed and established by Türksat Bilişim with all its layers from A to Z, was provided by Türksat Bilişim in terms of software, architecture and design.
“With the project, which has a high added value for the TRNC, 25 public services, 13 Municipal Document Verification Services and 7 Single Sign-On (SSO) services were transferred to the electronic environment at the first stage, and secure access to all services from a single point through the e-Government gateway started. Within the scope of the program, all projects started to be developed in accordance with the relevant regulation, legislation and business processes of the TRNC Institutions. The Electronic Document Management System (EBYS) Project, which provides a great improvement in the bureaucratic processes of public institutions and digitizes the document management, was also put into service in the TRNC with the TRNC e-Government Program. EBYS, which enables fast, reliable and transparent exchange of documents between all institutions and was developed by Türksat, enables the safe production of official document flows, central recording, archiving, access and reporting. With EBYS, which is used in nearly 100 institutions and organizations, primarily in Turkey, time and cost savings are achieved by avoiding the use of physical paper, while bureaucratic processes that last for days can be completed within minutes.”
Pointing out that Türksat AŞ carried its experience of establishing e-Government infrastructure on a turnkey basis with the e-TRNC Program to the international arena, it was noted that it is planned to carry this experience to different countries, especially the Turkic Republics.
