Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues its social municipality practices in line with the needs of the citizens. Social Services Department opened the 4th Clothes and Washing Center in the Ottoman Business Center for the use of disabled and elderly citizens, especially students who live in dormitories or do not have laundry facilities at home.

The Metropolitan Municipality is increasing the number of clothes washing centers in Ankara with each passing day in order for the disabled and elderly citizens to benefit, as well as for students who live in dormitories or who do not have the opportunity to do laundry at home.
In this context, the Social Services Department, taking into account the needs and demands of the citizens of the Capital, opened the 4th Clothes and Washing Center in the Ottoman Business Center in the Etlik district.
OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK 12 MONTHS OF THE YEAR
Citizens, who benefit from the Clothes Washing Centers, which are open 12 months of the year, summer and winter, except for public holidays, deliver their laundry to the officials with peace of mind between 7-09.00, 18.00 days a week, without paying any fee and without bringing any cleaning materials.
Adnan Tatlısu, Head of Social Services Department, stated that they are trying to provide services to all segments of the society in line with the 'equal service' approach implemented by Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş in the city administration and that they aim to support the economy of the citizens, and gave the following information:
“We are opening the fourth of the Clothes Washing Centers, which we serve in order to support the budget of our university students, under the leadership of our Honorable President Mansur Yavaş, who has undersigned 'student-friendly' projects in the capital. Our Clothing and Washing Centers provide free laundry and ironing services 7 days a week, summer and winter. In addition to our students, our disabled and elderly citizens will also be able to benefit from this service.”
MORE THAN 2021 REGISTRATIONS IN 5
In 2021, more than 5 thousand students registered to the Clothes Washing Centers in Kurtuluş, Bahçelievler and Mamak Araplar, where thousands of students have their clothes washed.
In order to receive clothes washing service from the Metropolitan Municipality, students; Students must apply to the centers with a photocopy of their student ID card, a student certificate, a dormitory document if they are staying at the dormitory, a photocopy of the rental contract if they are staying at home, and 2 photographs.
