Private theaters, which are experiencing difficult times during the epidemic, meet with their audiences again with the project of IMM "Let the Curtains Close in Istanbul". The people of Istanbul satisfy their longing with the artists, plays and performances they miss. With the project, in which the sounds of applause will rise again, a total of 129 plays, 101 adults and 230 children, will meet the theater audience free of charge. Significant support will also be provided to private theater workers.

Theater artists, who have been away from the stage for a long time, meet with their audience within the framework of the project "Let the Curtains Close in Istanbul", which was initiated by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) in solidarity with private theaters that had a difficult time during the epidemic. With the organizations to be held by the IMM Culture Department, a total of 129 plays, 101 adults and 230 children, will meet the theater audience free of charge in July and August. The plays will be staged in the city's open spaces and IMM Cultural Centers. A part of it can be watched with digital broadcasts.

In project scope; On July 3-4 at Pendik Kaynarca and Zeytinburnu Çırpıcı Park, on July 10-11 Kadıköy Two different plays will be staged in Yoğurtçu Park and Beylikdüzü Yaşam Vadisi, at 19.00 and 21.30.

The play screenings, which will start on July 10-11 at ten different IMM Cultural Centers located on both sides of Istanbul, will start again on July 31 after the Eid holiday and continue on weekends until August 22.

Theater lovers will have the opportunity to watch digital plays during the holiday. Between July 15 and July 25, 22 broadcasts, two different plays every day, in total, IMM Culture and Art YouTube can be watched from the channel.
