Turkey's largest industrial transformation project which Sekar at the Park and disconnected with the land, in the years almost idle in the middle of the sea and the examination result in scaffolding collapse danger because of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality destroyed. Sea and river type floating cranes with a capacity of 680 tons are used in the demolition of the pier.
TENDER FOR DEMOLITION
The pier that remained from the SEKA Paper Factory and was not connected to the coast in the 17 August 1999 Marmara earthquake was dangerous. Erosion and rust due to the advancing time increased the danger of the scaffold. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality held a tender for the pier, which is in danger of collapse.
THE WORKS CONTINUE
Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Support Services Department has opened a tender for movable goods and warehouses.
WE WILL TAKE 1 MONTH
A special floating crane was brought for demolition work, which started on 14 February. Sea and river type floating cranes with a capacity of 680 tons are used in the demolition of the pier. Demolition will take about 4 month with a crane weighing 586 thousand 1 gross tons.
