Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş met with the headmen of the neighborhoods in the historical areas of the city after the morning prayer at the Pınarbaşı Mosque and held a consultation meeting.
AK Party Bursa Deputy Osman Mestan also attended the meeting, AK Party Osmangazi District Chairman Ufuk Cömez and Alipaşa, Alaattin, Pınarbaşı, Alacahırka, Osmangazi, Tahtakale, Molla Fenari, Molla Gürani, Kavaklı, Halil Paşa and Maksem neighborhood headmen.
"It will be completely underground"
Stating that Bursa, which is intertwined with industry, is developing and growing rapidly, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş said that the region called 'Old Bursa' has some disadvantages especially because it is on the flow route of Uludağ, and that the density aggravates the traffic pattern. Stating that they made moves in traffic and transportation as soon as they took office and received positive reactions, President Alinur Aktaş stated that good developments will continue in the coming days. Stating that they want to remove the traffic issue, which is widely spoken in Bursa, from the agenda of the city, Mayor Aktaş said, “Hopefully, we will achieve some relief in traffic with new metro investments. In our last meeting with our President, 'Definitely do not do a rail system. “Apply metro or metrobus”. Since the metro is completely underground, it can be a costly investment. But I hope we want to lay the foundations of the 6.2-kilometer Yıldırım Metro and the 7-kilometer Osmangazi Metro by the end of the year. "It will be completely underground and will not disrupt the flow of traffic," he said.
AK Party Bursa Deputy Osman Mestan pointed out that they wanted to show the problems in the region to President Aktaş on the spot, and that the old settlements, which are the 'spiritual zone' of the city, had relatively problems due to physical conditions. Stating that Mayor Aktaş has brought positive energy to the city from the day he took office, Mestan stated that they will carry Bursa to better places by working together in harmony from the minister to the provincial administration.
Following the meeting, President Aktaş visited the Molla Fenari quarter with MPs Mestan and muhtars and examined the problems in place.
