Kardemir has realized another new Accident Sharing meeting in order to create a higher level of consciousness on JobDate and Security and to increase the sensitivity of all employees in this regard.

450 Engineers and Chief Engineers from different departments attended the accident sharing meeting held at Kardemir Education Culture Center and attended by the Company's General Manager Ercüment Ünal, Coordinators, Chief Executive and Managers, Çelik İş Union Karabük Branch President Ulvi Üngören and Branch Board Members and approximately 11 employees. They shared about work accidents.

At the meeting, which started with a moment of silence in the spiritual presence of our employees who lost their lives in work accidents and the reading of our National Anthem, the root causes of the accidents were analyzed and the measures taken and the improvements made were evaluated. At the meeting where suggestions were also received with the active participation of all employees, General Manager Ercüment Ünal pointed out once again that the most important and priority issue in Kardemir is Occupational Health and Safety, and stated that the target is zero occupational accidents. Reminding once again that the damages reflected on the balance sheets of companies can always be covered, but the lost lives or limbs cannot be fulfilled, General Manager Ercüment Ünal said, “There is a family that awaits us all at home and loves us. We are responsible to them. "We have no right to leave them in pain, and therefore we must be very careful and sensitive about occupational health and safety."

Unal, who wants the way of doing business to be continuously improved, stated that they do not want employees who do practical work and risk their lives. Unal pointed out that the RAMAK KALA reporting within the company must be increased and said, “We had a near-miss incident but if we do not report it, that event will return to us as an accident the next time. For this reason, we must complete our near-miss reports and prevent possible accidents based on these reports ”.
