Lemonade protest from the operators of the bars to be demolished

Protest with lemonade from the operators of the bars to be demolished: In Izmit, the managers of the bars on the route where the tram line will pass and will be demolished within the scope of expropriation, protested by distributing lemonade for not being shown a place.

The operator of 40 bars, which will be demolished within the scope of the expropriation to be carried out along the tram line, determined by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Real Estate and Expropriation Department, Expropriation Branch Directorate, took action by removing tables and distributing lemonade to Şahabettin Bilgisu Street, known as 'Bar Street'. CHP Kocaeli Deputy Haydar Akar, Kocaeli Entertainment Places Investors Association President Yusuf Ziya Tom, bar operators and citizens attended the action. In the protest, a banner saying "Stubbornly against the tram, long live life" was opened. Yusuf Ziya Tom reacted to the municipality's passing the tram project on the line where the bars were located and not giving them a place.

CHP Kocaeli Deputy Haydar Akar, who said that he was victimized in the project, said, “I find it appropriate to make some investments for the development of the city and the solution of the traffic problem. These projects are very important for the realization of tram, metro, cable car projects and in terms of making this city a brand city. Once the route of the tram project is wrong. We are talking about Yahya Kaptan's journey between the Central Bank and will take 14 stops and 45 minutes. Nobody takes this 45-minute trip into consideration. People are left victims with these wrong projects. It affects not only Bar Street but also many tradesmen. The victimization of our friends who are victims here must be remedied. The mayor has to come and say, "We did not make you a victim, we planned this place for you."
