Akçaray Tram Cars Are Under Construction

Manufacturing of Akçaray Tramway Wagons Continues: In the Akçaray tram project, the production of the wagons in the factory in Bursa continues.
In the Akçaray tram project, which will introduce the city of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality to rail transportation, while the rails are being laid on the one hand, the production of 12 tram wagons in the factory in Bursa continues.
The laying of the rails in the tram project, which will operate mutually on the 7,2-kilometer line between Yahya Kaptan and Sekapark, had recently started. The production phase of 2,65 tram vehicles of 32 width and 12 m length continues at the factory in Bursa. Technical personnel under the Rail Systems Branch Directorate of the Transportation Department visit the production site periodically and follow the process in wagon manufacturing.
Within the scope of the works, 2015 started production in September and the first of the tram cars with 5 module was planned to be delivered in October. At the moment, the body module of the first module is covered and the source is being continued. Cutting, sandblasting and welding of the first bogi pieces were completed and welding operations were started. The body parts of the first 2016 module were cut and ready for welding. The penetration sources of the roof produced in two separate fixtures continue. In addition, the production of composite panels with jet jeans to be used in the interior ceiling and walls of the vehicle were examined on site and the scratch resistance tests were performed.
