The Tram Will Pass Over Mert River: Since the light rail system route, which is extended to Tekkeköy district in the eastern part of Samsun, will pass over the Mert River Bridge, the extension works have started on the bridge.
The remaining part of the bridge will be given to vehicle traffic as it will be used in the light rail system project of the sea side of Mert River Bridge. As part of the Light Rail System Project work, the entire part of the bridge will be reserved for vehicle traffic, and expansion works for pedestrians were started.
As a result of the project to ensure the transportation of pedestrians and bicycles, the existing bridge will be completed at the end of the year with the 4 meter width and the 82 meter long renovation.
