From the motorway money drive: In Germany, the government partner CSU promised to take the toll from the foreign-plate vehicles just before the election.
The draft law was prepared. However, the bill was imposed on EU law on grounds of discrimination. The EU has warned Germany many times that there is no freeway fee from foreign vehicles. Due to warnings, the federal transport ministry has not been able to draft the bill, even though it has been almost a year since the establishment of the government. The new bill, prepared by the Minister of Transport of CSU, Alexander Dobrind, is foreseen to receive a freeway fee from foreign vehicles as well as foreign vehicles.
