Underpass tension in Maltepe: A group of locals in Maltepe protested the closure of the underpasses within the scope of Marmaray studies. The neighborhood residents, who claimed that the children were forced to go to school, wanted to open the lower passageways of the municipality as soon as possible.

A group of citizens living in Bağlarbaşı, Feyzullah and Yalı neighborhoods protested against the closure of the underpasses within the scope of Marmaray work by closing the road. At the 14.30, a group of citizens who turned the Drama Bridge into traffic tried to make their voices heard. Neighborhood residents who have difficulty in going to school and their children, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality asked them to resolve their grievances.

CHP Istanbul deputy Kadir Gökmen Öğüt also supported the families who closed the drama bridge for about one hour. During the action, there was tension between the drivers and the citizens. After a while, the police asked the citizens to open the way. In the meantime, there was a short-term debate between the police and the activists. After a while, the riot police pushed a group of activists and opened a part of the road to traffic.
