YHT to be connected to Marmar

YHT to be connected to the Marmaray: The 533 kilometer section of the total 266 kilometer line will be opened after the completion of the signaling, road and catenary tests.

The travel time between Istanbul and Ankara will be made in Arifiye in the first place and will last approximately 3,5 hours. With the completion of the Geyve-Sapanca section, the journey time in the line will be reduced to 3 hours.

AA correspondent, according to the total of 533 kilometers of Ankara-Istanbul YHT in Ankara-Eskisehir 245 kilometer section was opened to service in 2009. The construction of the 266 kilometer section between Eskişehir and İstanbul will be completed after the test drive, signaling, road and catenary tests carried out with the Piri Reis Train.

The tests will be gradually increased in the form of 60, 80, 100, 120 kilometers. The maximum operating speed of the line will be the 250 mileage and the test runs will be based on the speed of the 275 km per hour. In addition, the signaling tests called the traffic test will be completed.

Ankara-Istanbul YHT line will include Polatlı, Eskişehir, Bozüyük, Bilecik, Pamukova, Sapanca, İzmit, Gebze and Pendik.

Line will be connected to Marmaray in 2015

With the completion of the line, the journey time between Ankara-Istanbul (Pendik) will be at 3 time, while the travel time between Ankara and Gebze will go down to 15. The line between Geyve and Arifiye will be used by conventional trains. With the completion of the second part of the project, the journey between Istanbul and Ankara will be 3 hours, while the journey from Ankara to Pendik will be 3 hours 2 hours.

In the first phase, the last stop will be Pendik and the line will be extended to Söğütlüçeşme station. Ankara-Istanbul YHT line will be connected to Marmaray in 2015 and Halkalıto reach. Daily 16 expeditions will be organized. Once connected to Marmaray, every 15 will take place every minute or half an hour.

The share of railways in passenger transport will be 78

With the introduction of Ankara and Istanbul YHT line, the share of railways with 10 in passenger transportation is expected to increase to 78. Ankara-Istanbul YHT line is expected to serve approximately 50 thousand, 17 million passengers per year.

755 art structure was built on Ankara-Istanbul line. The section between Köseköy and Gebze was made with an EU grant of 150 million euros. The line consists of 4 billion dollars worth of 2 billion dollars cost of the line.

Flexible price will be applied in tickets

Ankara-Istanbul high-speed train tickets are expensive from the bus, cheaper than the plane. TCDD has done some technical work on this subject. In the first calculations, a price of 70-80 lira was introduced. However, this figure will be revised again. Flexible prices will also be made, which will be cheaper on certain days and times.
