ESTRAM Travels 200 Kilometers a Day

ESTRAM, with a rail system length of approximately 55 kilometers in Eskişehir, organizes an average of 200 trips per day and covers 12 thousand kilometers, carrying nearly 124 thousand passengers.

ESTRAM General Manager Hakan Bayındır stated that the tram project, which was implemented within the framework of the "Transportation Master Plan" prepared by Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, has reached the 55-kilometer operating line and serves Eskişehir residents on 47 lines with 8 vehicles.

Explaining that they carry nearly 200 thousand passengers by organizing an average of 12 trips a day and covering 124 thousand kilometers, Bayındır said that they have reunited 20 million 47 thousand 825 passengers with their loved ones by traveling 820 million 647 thousand 853 kilometers in a 638-year period.

Bayındır emphasized that, as a company, they started to offer "how to get there, tram and bus location information, Virtual Card, Mobile QR ticket" services via GPRS with the ESTRAM mobile application at the end of 2022, within the scope of technological infrastructure investments, and underlined that they also started the use of contactless credit cards.

Stating that they are focusing on new investments under the leadership of Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ayşe Ünlüce, Bayındır stated that they will soon implement regulations such as the extension of tram lines to different points of the city, especially ESTU, Eskart Plus, student subscription card, bus-to-bus transfer and night services on trams.
