Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that after the earthquakes affecting 11 provinces centered in Kahramanmaraş, aid to the region continued uninterrupted. You know, there is a sad folk song, "The black train will be late, maybe it will never come". On the contrary, our trains carry aid supplies to the region day and night without stopping. Finally, our 170th aid train set off on August 12 and has now arrived in the region.”

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that the railways have been actively involved in the healthy execution of the rescue works and the complete delivery of aid after the disaster caused by the earthquake, and said, “First of all, in the urgent delivery of construction equipment, clothing, food, shelter materials and fuel to the region. trains were of great importance. So far, 169 aid units have been sent to the region. 17 wagons of construction equipment, 498 wagons of humanitarian aid, 2 thousand 280 wagons and 4 living containers, 597 wagons and 266 container heaters, blankets, generators, 320 wagons of coal, 30 wagons of 4 mobile WCs, 26 heating generators, 5 shelter wagons, 24 service wagons, a total of 30 wagons were delivered to the disaster area.

Minister Uraloğlu stated that the 170th train departed from Afyonkarahisar on 12 August and said, “There were 16 containers of living materials in 32 wagons on the train that set off. It has now delivered the needs of earthquake victims. In addition, we provide sheltering services to a total of 6 thousand earthquake victims in the stations and stations, passenger and personnel service wagons, guesthouses, social facilities and construction sites, from the first day for the shelter needs of earthquake victims. Citizens who want to leave the earthquake area are evacuated by trains. In this context, we transported 450 citizens affected by the earthquake from the earthquake zone to other cities free of charge with 77.974 passenger trains.
