Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is carrying out repair work at Kaleçi Marina, which was damaged after the severe storm on 25-26 November. Metropolitan teams are repairing the safety lane fences and the mooring points of the boats at the pier to ensure life safety at the Marina. A cat that got stuck under the excavation during the works was also rescued by the metropolitan teams.
The heavy rain and storm that occurred in Antalya last weekend caused significant damage to the boats in Kaleiçi Marina, and there was also damage in the area. Metropolitan Municipality teams removed the sunken boats at Kaleçi Marina immediately after the storm and carried out cleaning work. The teams have now started repair work in the damaged areas of Kaleiçi Marina.
DAMAGES ARE BEING REMOVED
Teams from the Fisheries Branch Directorate of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Agricultural Services Department are working hard to repair the damage caused by the storm and make the port ready for sailors again. As part of the work, the mooring points of boats damaged by the storm are being repaired at the pier. The teams are also doing paving work while repairing damage to the safety lane fences and infrastructure.
THE RESCUE CAT CAME BACK TO LIFE
On the other hand, the teams also rescued a cat that was trapped under excavation during the repair works. Metropolitan Municipality personnel removed the cat stuck under the excavation and brought it back to life by applying heart massage. It was reported that the cat will be delivered to the animal shelter after its health check is completed.
