May 19 on one side, Nazım Hikmet on the other, Ahmed Arif on the other... I said to my friends, 'The name Yaşar Kemal would suit the square where these names landed. We had a democratic vote. Giving detailed examples of the work they have done specifically for Esenyurt, İmamoğlu said, “We have become an activist and a populist municipality in Esenyurt, just like in the 39 districts of Istanbul. Here, we have completed the rainwater lines connected to Haramidere, coming from above and accumulating on the streets. We established large-scale wastewater networks and built water collectors on the right and left sides of Haramidere. Thus, floods became a thing of the past. We also prevented the bad flow and waste water from this region going to the Marmara Sea. At the same time, we organized the traffic circulation here together with its surroundings.
