İzmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT General Directorate transforms the 100 articulated bus with a total capacity of 10 beds into mobile shelter vehicles and sends them to the disaster area. In the first stage, 4 buses set out to go to Iskenderun by sea.

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, which set up coordination units in the region by alerting all its units to heal the wounds of the earthquake, sent mobile shelter vehicles prepared by the ESHOT General Directorate to the disaster area. Work has been started in the Gediz Workshop for the transformation of the 10 articulated bus that serves under ESHOT. ESHOT teams removed the seat parts of the buses and turned them into a mobile dormitory. The beds manufactured in ESHOT carpentry shops were mounted on the vehicles.

100 buses with a capacity of 10 beds

In the first stage, 4 buses were converted into mobile accommodation vehicles and loaded on the Ulusoy 5 roro ship, which will depart from Çeşme to İskenderun Port. A total of 10 buses will be converted and delivered to the coordination centers in the disaster area. Mobile shelter vehicles, including stoves, will be offered to earthquake victims in the region with a bed capacity of 100.
