BÖLÜKBAŞI WILL COMPETE IN THE TOP CATEGORY OF THE ZORLU SERIES
Bölükbaşı will return to the tracks with the Luxembourg-based DKR Engineering team; It will compete on the most technical and challenging tracks of automobile sports such as Barcelona, Le Castellet, Imola, Spa-Francorchamps, Mugello and Portimao. In the races where 42 different cars will take to the track, our representative will compete in the LMP2 Pro/Am category with the LMP2 (Le Mans Prototype 2) vehicle, which is the highest level of vehicle in the series.
Pilots compete in closed-type vehicles in ELMS, which is an important series for pilots who want to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the Le Mans 24 Hours races, which are the peak of these categories.
THE 2-LITER V4,8 ENGINES OF LMP8 VEHICLES PRODUCE 600 HORSEPOWER
All vehicles have a 600-liter V4,8 engine from Gibson Technology that produces 8 horsepower and a 65-liter fuel tank. LPM950 vehicles with a minimum weight of 2 kilograms are supplied with dry and wet tires of the same brand. The fact that the vehicles are similar and have the same engines and tires highlights the pilots' on-track struggles.
CHAMPIONS WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE LE MANS 24 HOUR RACES
The Le Mans Series, which has three different vehicle classes: LMP2 and LMP2 Pro/Am, LMP3 and LMGT3, offers the best of their categories the opportunity to compete at the "top" in the European Championship. At the end of the season, the champion and runner-up of LMP2, LMP2 Pro/Am, LMP3 and LMGT3 champions will qualify for the Le Mans 24 Hours race.
