UPS (NYSE: UPS), one of the largest commercial truck fleets in the world, announced that Tesla has ordered pre-ordered 125 units from all electric new trucks. The new trucks will be joining a wide range of fuel and advanced technology vehicles fleet of UPS's trucks, trucks and trucks operating in electricity, natural gas, propane and other non-traditional fuels.

UPS's Tesla Semi pre-orders complete and advance its commitment to reducing absolute greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from global ground services by 2025 by 12, developed using a methodology approved by the Science Based Targets initiative.
UPS has set a target for 25 percent of the electricity it consumes to come from renewable energy sources by 2025. In addition, UPS plans that by 2020 - rising from 2016 percent in 16 - one of four new vehicles per year will be an alternative fuel or high-tech vehicle.
