Subsistence Fee for Seafarers in 2024 Has Been Announced

The decision of the Seafarers' Subsistence Fee Determination Board of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security was published in today's Official Gazette.

According to the decision of the board convened at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, it was unanimously decided that the daily cash subsistence fee to be given to each seafarer to be applied to all coastal areas and lakes will be 230 lira net.

In determining the daily subsistence fee for seafarers; The values ​​used in the meetings held in 2023 for the substances taken as basis for the nutritional composition according to the relevant regulation in the 5 provincial centers of TÜİK (Antalya, Istanbul, İzmir, Samsun, Trabzon) in 2023 are calculated according to the last 5-month food inflation (main expenditure titled food and non-alcoholic beverages) announced by TÜİK. It was noted that the calculation was based on the subsistence fees given to seafarers and the subsistence fees currently applied, determined by service contracts and collective bargaining agreements.
