The incident occurred in the construction of the subway located under the Pendik bridge. Allegedly, the iron used to be used in construction fell while being transported from the crane. A worker fell under the iron in the incident that was alleged to fall because the iron was not fastened enough. Hundreds of pounds under the weight of iron workers under the help of a worker named Fatih Tekin ran. The workers reported the situation to the fire department and medical teams.
The unfortunate workers were rescued with about an hour's work of the firefighters who came to the scene. Fatih Tekin, whose first treatment was made in the ambulance, was taken to Pendik Training and Research Hospital. While it was learned that the worker was not in danger to life, the police launched an investigation into the incident.
