Public transportation in Istanbul 24 meets in the center

Public transportation in Istanbul is gathered in 24 centers: Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality started project designing for a total of 24 transfer stations that will integrate the transportation systems in the city. Metro, bus, metrobus, marmaray, tramway, railway integration will be provided with transfer centers of 10 million square meters on the Anatolian side of Istanbul and 14 on the European side.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality will bid for the preparation of architectural, transportation and landscape projects of 14 transfer stations on the European Side and 10 transfer stations on the Anatolian Side. Thanks to the transfer stations planned at the junction points of the transportation lines such as metro, bus, metrobus, marmaray, tramway, railway network, citizens will be able to provide uninterrupted transportation in all directions without losing time. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Planning Directorate will hold a tender for the preparation of architectural, transportation and landscape projects of transfer stations, which will be the centers of public transportation systems, on May 24 and 5. 6 transfer stations with a construction area of ​​600 thousand square meters will be built.

UNINTERRUPTED TRANSPORTATION ON EACH DIRECTION

Metro, bus, metrobus, marmaray, tram, railway network, such as transfer lines planned at the junction points of transfer stations, citizens, without wasting time in all directions can provide uninterrupted transportation. According to the tender specifications, there will be social facilities such as cafes, restaurants, car parks where citizens can meet their daily needs at the transfer stations. Thus, citizens will be able to use their public transportation by leaving their vehicles in the car parks of the centers above or below ground.

The specification, which envisaged the transfer centers to be planned in accordance with the use of the disabled, also included afforestation of these areas. Dudullu, Kartal Junction, Küçükyalı, Tepeüstü, Haydarpaşa Separation Fountain, Taşdelen, Sancaktepe, Kurtköy, Samandıra and Uzunçayır on the Asian Side and Sefaköy, Kirazlı, Yenibosna, İncirli, Mahmutbey, Çobançeşme, Çırpıcı, TÜYAP, Avcılar, Kazlıçeşme , Halkalı, Başakşehir, Kayaşehir and Bahçeşehir transfer stations were identified.
