German railways company raises passenger fares

The German rail company has raised passenger fares: While many passengers in Germany complain of delays in trains, trams and buses, and pollution of trains, transport companies are increasing their fare. While the latest German rail company DB has increased transportation prices across Germany, passengers in North Rhine Westphalia (KRV) will have to pay more with the start of the new year.
In a statement made recently by the Bus and Trains Initiative, it was reported that transportation tariffs in the state would increase by an average of 3,3 percent. Accordingly, for example, the price of a group of five increased from 39 Euros to 50 Euros. Companies cite increasing personnel, energy and material costs as the reason for the price increase.
