Survey studies for Erzincan tram project started

The study for the Erzincan tram project has started: The ground survey of the tram project, which is planned to be carried out in order to reduce the traffic density in the city transportation, has started.
A ceremony was held in Fevzipaşa Street due to the start of the ground survey of the light rail system project planned to be carried out by Erzincan Municipality at a distance of 24 kilometers between Erzincan University and Erzincan Airport.
Answering the questions of journalists after the ceremony, Erzincan Governor Ali Arslantaş stated that Erzincan signed a historical day with the rail system project and wished the project to be beneficial to the city.
Stating that in order to solve the problems that may occur in public transportation in Erzincan in the future, the rail system will be started on the route from Ekşisu to the university. said.
Erzincan Mayor Cemalettin Başsoy stated that they had the joy of implementing a new system in Erzincan. Within the framework of our protocol with Gazi University, our field studies continue from May 9th. Both the preparation of the urban master plan and the work of the light tram system, which will form a base for these field studies, started together. These two projects are carried out together in Erzincan. ” he spoke.
“We will start the construction tender next year”
Başsoy pointed out that light rail system would facilitate urban transportation, said:
“We started to implement the project. In this context, with the work on the route from the airport to the university, drilling will be done at 25 points on this route. Samples will be taken from a depth of 13-14 meters. Ground studies will be done. In addition, 25 holes will be drilled and the materials to be obtained from these holes will be tested. Whether the grounds are intact or not and whether tram routes will pass or not will be determined. By November, both the surveys in the city will be completed, the ground surveys will be completed and the project will be ready. I hope we will give the construction tender of the project next year. ”
