Batıkent Metro - Kızılay Flights Are Stopping: The integrated works of Keçiören Metro to Batıkent Metro will start on April 15. Last stop until June 15 AKKÖPRÜ
The Keçiören Metro, which was taken over by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, has come to an end. Final touches are now being made in the 7-kilometer 24-station Keçiören-Gar Metro, which is tried to be completed by working 8/9. Due to the integrated works of Keçiören Metro, one of those works, in Batıkent Metro, Batıkent Metro will run only between Akköprü Station between 15 April and 15 June.
WILL NOT GO TO KIZILAY
The work that will be carried out for the maintenance and repair of the trains that will serve at Keçiören Metro at Macunköy Station on the Batıkent-Kızılay Metro line will take 2 months. According to the plan of the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications and the General Directorate of EGO, the metro between Batıkent-Kızılay will serve Ankara residents between Batıkent-Akköprü for 2 months.
RING WILL HELD BUSES
During this time, citizens who want to get to Kızılay by taking the metro from Batıkent, Yenimahalle, İvedik and Demetevler stations will get off at Akköprü Station. Stating that citizens will not be victimized during the 2-month-long studies, EGO officials said, “Citizens who will land at Akköprü Station, which will be the last stop for 2 months, will be carried by Kizilay by ring buses”.
99 percent finished
Binali Yıldırım, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, who made the examinations in Keçiören Metro in December 2015 and stated that 99 percent of the works were completed, said “We will have put the Keçiören Metro into service at the latest in the third quarter of 2016”.
